My First-ever Baby Back Ribs

I'm so obsessed in cooking baby back ribs in a turbo broiler.  Yes!  You heard me right - I want to cook this sumptuous meal in a borrowed turbo broiler from my mom.

I and hubby has been married for almost 2 years now and a lot of events transpired during the past years of our lives (even as boyfriend-girlfriend).  If you are interested (I hope you are), here's a quick summary of our challenging, yet happy life during the past years:

  • In 2009 - I and hubby decided to get married; the same year we bought our first investment - our house
  • In 2010 - We bought our second investment and got married in December
  • In 2011 - Hubby left his job and we opened our business, which he successfully manages full-time;  Baby Marty also came to our lives in December of this year

So, here's the trick how this dish was cooked without a convection oven:

Ingredients:

1 rack  Pork Ribs
1 tsp.   Cayenne Powder
1 tsp.   Paprika
1 bottle  Java Sauce
2 tbsp.   Sugar
1 tbsp.   Pepper
1 tbsp.  Finely minced garlic
1 bottle  Light Soy Sauce
Sesame seeds for garnish

Cooking Instructions:

1.  Marinade the pork overnight in mixture of cayenne powder, paprika, 2 cups of java sauce, sugar, pepper, garlic, and 1 cup of light soy sauce.
2.  The following day cook the pork in a turbo broiler, set the time to 15 minutes.
3.  Rub the remaining mixture of java sauce to the pork and cook for another 5 minutes.
4.  Turn the pork upside down and rub the remaining java sauce to the pork and cook for 15 more minutes.
5.   Check the meat after15 minutes, slice off a small piece and try the meat. If you’re happy with the tenderness, remove from the oven.  If not, rub java sauce to the pork, turn upside down and cook for 15 minutes.
6.  Take the pork out of the oven. Brush the sauce all over the pork, including the sides and bottom.
7   Place the cooked meat on a chopping board. Allow to rest for at least 10 minutes.
8.  Chop into portions between the bones for a nice presentation.
9.  Sprinkle sesame seeds on the roasted pork.

Number of servings:  good for 6 to 8
